David Salo Torah Dedication

  • Although we have completed the new Torah, dedications can still be made below.

On Sunday, February 18, we celebrated a very special occasion. We welcomed a new Torah scroll to Chabad of Red Rock. A new Torah scroll is traditionally seen as a celebration for the entire city, even by congregants of other synagogues, how much more so for those associated with the congregation actually welcoming the new scroll. Moreover, in our case, it was our very first Torah scroll, making this an even more momentous event.

With that in mind, we have only two words to say: Thank You!
Thank you to HaShem who guides us along the proper path each and every day, allowing us to celebrate this moment.
Thank you to our Rebbe, whose mission is why we live in Las Vegas, and whose blessings accompany us every day.
Thank you to David Salo for your generous dedication of this new scroll. What a tremendous merit you now have for all time. Thank you as well to Nancy and all of your friends for supporting your decision and joining the celebration.
Thank you to everyone who made a dedication in the Torah, whether you dedicated a letter, a verse or more.

Thank you to each one of the members of the community who participated. For us, this was not just an event. It is more like a family Simcha, and you being there was so meaningful.
The main thing now is to use the scroll, along with all the books of the Torah, studying and strengthening our connection with HaShem!

Dedications can still be made for a Parsha or special section. (The dedications now cost less than before, as of course, they can no longer include the honor of filling in a letter in the Torah. But, they will still be memorialized on our special Torah dedication board.) Make one for yourself or gift it to a friend or family member!
